26-27 Women in Leadership Cohort
Description:
At MASA, we believe in cultivating and championing the leadership of women across Missouri's public school systems. Building on the tremendous success of our inaugural year, we are thrilled to announce the 2nd MASA Women in Leadership Cohort!
This program was created to foster community, amplify voices, and support women navigating current and future central office leadership roles. Whether you are a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or serve in a key central office role, this powerful yearlong learning and development experience is designed specifically for you.
What’s New This Year?
This year, we are excited to partner with Capturing Kids' Hearts® (CKH) to provide premier leadership development content. To ensure this cohort is as relevant and impactful as possible, the remainder of our programming will be entirely customized based on a needs survey completed by female public school superintendents. You tell us what you need, and we will build the collaborative programming around it!
2026-2027 Session Dates & Programming (In-Person)
Across four in-person sessions, participants will gain practical strategies, tools, and support to lead with purpose.
September 22: Immersive Leadership Blueprint Training (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) We will kick off the year with a dynamic, full-day experience led by Capturing Kids' Hearts. While typically a two-day training, CKH has condensed their comprehensive Leadership Blueprint curriculum into an exclusive one-day model specifically for our cohort. In this immersive, participatory experience, you will learn to build high-performing teams, overcome personal constraints, and create productive cultures that lead to strong results.
Bonus: Within four weeks of this training, every participant will receive a one-on-one coaching call from an executive coach to help apply these skills directly to your district!
Assessments Included: You will also receive a Flippen Profile® Assessment and an individual Leadership Blueprint: 360 Report to provide a basis for your continued personal and professional development action plan.
December 7 | March 22 | June 2: Deep Dives & Customized Collaboration Our subsequent in-person days will feature a hybrid of expert-led content and peer collaboration:
Morning or Afternoon Deep Dive (90 Minutes + Q&A): CKH will lead a focused 1.5-hour session on specific leadership strategies, such as using the EXCEL Model™ during interpersonal interactions, developing conflict resolution techniques, and identifying self-limiting behavior patterns.
Responsive Cohort Programming: The remainder of each day will be dedicated to topics, workshops, and peer-coaching directly driven by the results of our superintendent needs survey.
Key Takeaways from the CKH Leadership Blueprint:
During this yearlong cohort, participants will learn how to:
